WHY A-930 Nucleating Agent works better for Polypropylene Homopolymer (PPH) ?

06 Aug 2016 - polypropylene nucleating agent,PP nucleating agent,pp clarifying agent,pp clarifier

Polypropylene is widely used to produce bottles,  containers , boxes , dishes ect. but questions comes, HOW to make these bottles , containers , boxes and dishes clearer ?

NUCLEATING AGENT application

Our ARGIOPE® A-930 nucleating Agent / Clarifier / Clarifying agent is perfectly work to give you a high transparent PP bottles ,containers Again

But Here we are responsible to tell that Please Test our A-930 nucleating agent (also called Clarifier/ Clarifying agent) with PP Homopolymer rather Than PP copolymer. To get most Transparent Effect !!!

WHY???

As we know Polypropylene is available in two basic types as either homopolymer or copolymer material. Although similar in many respects each type exhibits distinct differences in both appearance and performance.

Polypropylene Homopolymer (PPH) is the most widely utilized. PPH offers a high strength to weight ratio and is stiffer and stronger than copolymer, this combined with good chemical resistance and weldability allows this material to be used in many corrosion resistant structures.

Polypropylene copolymer (PPC) is a bit softer but has better impact strength, is tougher and more durable than PPH. Copolymer polypropylene tends to have better stress crack resistance and low temperature toughness than homopolymer at the expense of quite small reductions in other properties.

Most commercial polypropylene is isotactic and has an intermediate level of crystallinity between that of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE).

There are three general types of polypropylene: homopolymer, random copolymer, and block copolymer. The comonomer is typically used with ethylene. Ethylene-propylene rubber or EPDM added to polypropylene homopolymer increases its low temperature impact strength. Randomly polymerized ethylene monomer added to polypropylene homopolymer decreases the polymer crystallinity, lowers the melting point and makes the polymer more transparent.

Get it now ? Yes that's why nucleating agent (clarifying agent /clarifier )works better to improve HOMOPOLYMER PP than COPOLYMER PP. mainly because homo-PP Itself composition is much better than como-PP to get more transparent , and our nucleating agent is created perfectly accoding to HOMO-PP composition to gave best improvement in its clearancy !!!
